I'm an LA girl at heart and the main thing I have learned from being born and raised in LA is that you should always speak up. It takes just one person to stand up and make a difference. Something I've always been passionate about is women's rights & social justice. I take any opportunity I can to help empower women. I spread awareness through social media, which has been very useful in expressing my thoughts and ideas.
I once sent a letter to President Obama from something I had shared on social media about equality in America and I was very surprised and honored to receive a letter back from him. This further inspired and motivated me to keep sharing my beliefs and spread awareness.
I was drawn to this project because it fits my goals of helping women around the world. I hope to be a lawyer specializing in criminal law and human rights- it's a dream of mine to serve as a legal officer for the United States Navy.
